PiP acquired a 100% stake in the 30MW portfolio of six solar farms in 2017 following completion of construction on each solar farm. The nature and location of the assets, all eligible for Renewable Obligation Certificates, provides a well-balanced and geographically diversified portfolio. The farms in the portfolio benefit from proven equipment including panels sourced from two tier 1 panel manufacturers.
Better Alignment, Better Value, Better Governance
PiP has a 100% ownership of the solar portfolio, enabling better governance in decision-making and effective asset management. Revenues are derived from 20-year support under the ROC subsidy scheme along with a long-term Power Purchase Agreement provided by a leading utility. These together provide a low risk revenue stream which allowed the project to raise £20m of long-term financing from UK institutional investors.
